Leading stud poker room Party Poker has announced a NL Holdem tournament with a prize pool so nice that stud players might want to switch games, if only for a day – The Winter Million.
As suggested by the name, the Winter Million has a guaranteed prize pool of one million dollars. The tournament, scheduled for February 5th at 13:30 ET, has a $600 + $40 buy-in. If that seems like a bit too steep of a price tag, don’t worry – Party has an array of ways to qualify, some of which require little or no buy-in at all. Daily Qualifiers
Every day between now and the day of the Winter Million, Party will be running qualifiers once a day that will award 1 in 10 players who register a seat in the Winter Million. Your buy-in of $64+$6 can earn you a seat each day from now up until the actual day of the tournament – not a bad value for a small upfront investment.
In addition to that daily qualifier, Party has also scheduled daily rebuy qualifiers with a buy-in of $25+$2. Super-satellites for both daily qualifiers are available several times a day, with buy-ins as low as $1.
High rollers can play in the daily $160+$12 satellite that will award 1 seat into the Million for every four players that register.
Weekly Qualifiers
If the daily qualifiers don’t meet your schedule or liking, you’ve got other options. Party is running MEGA satellites each Friday, with a buy-in of $50 + $5 that guarantee 50 seats to the Winter Million.
Lower-stakes players also have a nice weekly qualifier that has super-satellites running daily in the form of country specific freerolls and points entry qualifiers. Players can take those routes into a weekly freeroll that guarantees 5 Winter Million seats each Friday.
